Terms of use
Last updated 4 October 2026
The agreement
StudyHone is run by Adam Syed in the United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using StudyHone, you agree to these terms. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
Who can use StudyHone
You must be 13 or older. If you’re under 18, please check with a parent or guardian that they’re happy for you to use it. Keep your password and sign-in accounts safe, and tell us if you think someone else has got into your account.
Your notes
Your notes stay yours. You give us permission to store them and to use them, including by sending parts to our AI services, only to run StudyHone for you, such as writing questions, marking answers and bringing ideas back at the right time. That permission ends when you delete the notes or your account.
Only add notes you’re allowed to use, such as your own notes or your teacher’s slides for your own revision. If you share notes with a link, you’re responsible for who you share them with.
Using StudyHone fairly
Please don’t:
- add anything illegal, hateful or harmful, or other people’s personal information;
- try to get into other people’s accounts or data, or get round our limits or security;
- use scripts, bots or automated tools to use StudyHone, or overload it on purpose;
- copy, resell or rebuild StudyHone, or use it to build a competing service.
If you break these rules, we may limit, suspend or close your account. Where we reasonably can, we’ll tell you why first.
About the AI
StudyHone uses AI to write questions from your notes and to mark your answers. We check its work, but it can still get things wrong. Marks and feedback are a guide to help you revise, not a teacher’s judgement or a prediction of an exam grade. If a mark looks wrong, you can dispute it. Always check important facts against your notes or your teacher.
The service
StudyHone is free at the moment. If we ever charge for it, we’ll tell you clearly before you pay anything. We may change, add or remove features, and we can’t promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. We’ll try to give notice of big changes.
You can stop using StudyHone and delete your account at any time from your account page. We may close StudyHone; if we do, we’ll give you reasonable notice so you can download your data.
Responsibility
Nothing in these terms limits anything the law doesn’t allow us to limit, such as responsibility for death or injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer. Otherwise, as StudyHone is provided free, we aren’t responsible for losses we couldn’t have expected, or for decisions you make based on the AI’s questions or marks.
Changes and the law
If we change these terms, we’ll update the date at the top and tell you about important changes before they apply. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
